  • AMC Altamonte Mall 18 – This AMC Theatre location will often play a selection of current independent, art house cinema as well as an occasional classic films.
  • Amstar 12 Lake Mary – This Amstar Cinema location offers a retrospective series known as “Flashback Cinema” during weeknights.
  • Cinematique of Daytona – The Cinematique of Daytona is a non-profit, arts organization with the mission to bring international, national and local independent film to the citizens of Daytona Beach and the surrounding area. For 20 years they have been bringing the best and hardest-to-find independent and foreign films to the Sunshine State.
  • Enzian Theatre – As Central Florida’s only full-time, non-for-profit alternative cinema, Enzian exists to entertain, inspire, educate, and connect the community through film. For more than 25 years Enzian has championed the belief that “Film Is Art.” Along with first-run independent features, Enzian offers a variety of special events, such as the nationally-recognized Florida Film Festival.
  • Miller Auditorium – Featuring the International Cinema Series which presents critically acclaimed and important films from around the world (including independent and artistic American films) every week at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg. They show restorations of honored classics as well as contemporary films that have captured the attention of critics at recent film festivals.  In a given semester, the ICS screens documentaries, narrative feature films, as well as the occasional experimental work. While tending to avoid “blockbuster” films of the sort you might find at the local movieplex, the series aims to create a balance between artistry and innovation in cinema, on the one hand, and appealing and accessible styles and important subjects, on the other. The ICS is coordinated by Christina Petersen, Assistant Professor of Film Studies.
  • Regal Winter Park Village 20 – This Regal Cinema location will often play a limited selection of current independent, art house cinema as well as classic films.
  • Tampa Theatre – A catapult for the imagination since 1926, the Tampa Theatre is a symbol of Tampa’s glorious past and bright future. Tampa Theatre is a passionately protected landmark and one of America’s best-preserved examples of grand movie palace architecture. The Tampa Theatre Foundation’s mission is to preserve the Tampa Theatre as a dynamic cultural institution.

Central Florida Drive-In Cinemas

  • Ocala Drive-In – Boasting one of the largest screens in Florida, it has remained an area cinema staple for more than 60 years.
  • Ruskin Family Drive-In – The drive-in, which opened in 1952, sticks to tradition even at the snack bar.
  • Silver Moon Drive-In – The Silver Moon Drive-In Theatre opened on April 14, 1948 and was the first drive-ins in Lakeland, Florida. It operates two large screens and typically programs a double feature on each screen nightly. The owners of this drive-in also operate the nearby Joy Land Drive-In Theatre in Dade City, Florida.
