Undergraduate Resources

Overview

As a undergraduate student in the Film BA or BFA, you have a variety of resources available to you. This includes access to NSCM Media Labs, Production Lab, and the checkout of general assignment media equipment.

This articles summarizes how to access, and what resources are available, below. There are also specific resources available for media assignments in supported courses or the sanctioned production of creative activities. Please see the support article for each course for additional information.

Policy Requirements

Students are required to complete the Film Student Policy Form before they can checkout equipment or use facility spaces. This form covers all course work and creative activities and must be completed once each semester.

Facility Access

NSCM Media Labs – NSC-211A and 211B, and the NSCM Production Lab – NSC-143 are available for open labs. Enrolled students can electronically access these labs using their UCF ID cards when classes are not being held in theses spaces. Students can also use their UCF ID card to access the NSCM building when it is locked.

Please use the Activity Calendars located on the NSCM Media Lab and Production Lab resource pages to help determine when these spaces are available for open and assisted lab hours.

Facility Access Issues

If you are having problems with accessing one of the above facilities please use the Access Card Issue Form to submit your problem to staff for troubleshooting.

List of Media Equipment

The current list of media equipment available for general assignment use by Film BA and BFA majors can be found by clicking the media equipment list button below.

Checkouts are based on weekend or weekday blocks using the framework below:

Weekend Checkout Block	Friday: Checkout Day Equipment Room Hours: Open 9 to 5	Saturday/Sunday: Shooting Equipment Room Hours: Closed	Monday: Checkin Day Equipment Room Hours: Open 9 to 5
Weekday Checkout Block	Tuesday: Checkout Day Equipment Room Hours: Open 9 to 5	Wednesday: Shooting	Thursday: Checkin Day Equipment Room Hours: Open 9 to 5

Zeus Now Portal

Express Checkout of media equipment is available via the Zeus Now Portal. Zeus login credentials will be emailed directly to you by Film Operations. (check your spam/junk folder if its not in your inbox).
