Film and Mass Media Program at the UCF Nicholson School of Communication and Media
Eligibility & Access
Overview
Equipment and facility resources are only available for use by currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff of the Film and Mass Media Program of the Nicholson School of Communication and Media (NSCM).
Official Business Use
University-owned property shall be used for official business, except as otherwise permitted by the appropriate authority or by University regulation or policy. Please see UCF regulations for Property Control UCF-4.007 and University Facilities UCF-4.029 for further details.
Additionally, state property for private benefit violates basic state expenditure administrative codes. State-owned equipment is classified as “tangible personal property of a nonconsumable and nonexpendable nature” and its use falls under Florida Statute § 273.02 as well a Florida Statue § 112.313.
Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate student use of equipment and facilities must be related to specific NSCM Film and Mass Media coursework or sanctioned productions.
Courses that have access to specific equipment or facilities have dedicated articles outlining what is available.
Graduate Students
Graduate students use of equipment and facilities must be related to specific NSCM Film and Mass Media coursework or authorized thesis-related creative activities / research, or sanctioned student productions.
Courses that have access to specific equipment or facilities have dedicated articles outlining what is available.
Faculty
Faculty use of equipment and facilities must be related to preparation of specific NSCM Film and Mass Media coursework, creative activities and research outlined in their annual report, or other activities approved by the school director.
Staff
Staff use of equipment and facilities must be related to NSCM activities, school events, official position responsibilities, or other activities approved by the school director.
