What is an Intimate Scene?

Any content that portrays an intimate act, nudity, implies nudity, or otherwise exposes a performer.

Definition of Intimacy

• Bodily Contact – Any physical contact made between performers that requires or expects consent. This includes all minor forms of sexual and/or violent contact (e.g., kissing of the face or hands, playful grappling, pushing, petting, fondling, or hugging) as well as any sensitive contact between performers (e.g., bathing another person, handling a naked infant, lingering touching).
• Solo Intimate Act – Performers contacting themselves in a sexual or exposing manner (e.g., simulated masturbation, striptease, use of a breast pump, etc.).
• Simulated Sex Acts – Portrayal of all major forms of consensual, sexually motivated contact between performers (e.g., kissing or touching of the body and sex).
• Simulated Sexualized Violence – Portrayal of any form of nonconsensual, sexually motivated, violent contact between performers (e.g., forced kissing, groping and inappropriate touching, striking and chocking, or sexual assault).

Definition of Nudity

Performers appearing in a scene wearing little to no clothing or a modesty garment.

• Nude – Not wearing any tops or bottoms, naked.
  • Full Frontal Nudity – Seeing a naked person from the front, including genitals.
  • Full Rear Nudity – Seeing a naked person from the rear, including buttock.
• Semi-Nude – Not wearing a top, exposed breasts.
• Scantily Clad – Wearing very little clothing but not actually nude (e.g. sexually scripted swimsuits, underwear/lingerie, ripped t-shirt or clothing, etc.).
